coonyp, you hit the nail on the head. Wayne's defense would have been invaluable through the season and there were so many times Clint would pick up two, three quick fouls and have to sit. That happened in Vegas against Gonzaga, happened against 'Nova. Clint thinks his length can make up for his lack of foot movement. This is where Wayne is by far the better defender. He moves his feet, keeps his guy in front of him and he, not Omar, would have been the defensive player of the year.

I do admit Clint is more efficient on offense but we also did not have that one player who could get to the basket consistently. Wayne could. He was the most athletic player on the team.

I'm not saying we would have been in the Elite 8, NIT, wherever because we will never know where we would have ended. All I am saying is Wayne was the better option than Clint. Look at it this way, if Wayne got in trouble, Clint would have come in. And don't think RB was not willing to bench a senior. He had benched Ian O'Leary last year due to lackluster performance.
