Not as quickly as SI turns out conceited jackasses. Is Bill Keller one of the retards you are referring to? He's only the Executive Editor of the New York Times. He also won a Pulitzer Prize. Pretty good work for a retard if you ask me. SI was once San Francisco's golden boy, but it is now a known fact, especially here at SMC, that all stand up guys from the city go to Sacred Heart or Riordan, no question. The current day SI is full of kids from Marin, Hillsborough, and Burlingame. I would actually say that the present rivalry is much more similar to SMC SCU. Serra once had a fierce rivalry with SI, but after defeating their scrub program consistently and turning their focus towards the top tier WCAL teams the rivalry lost much of its luster and intensity, just as ours has with Santa Clara. And the cocky egotism of the SCU fans and alumni which we have all come to hate is completely mirrored by the SI community. SI is a haven and breeding ground for rich suburban kids who like to pretend they are from the city. I personally know 6 or 7 current gaels who are from the sunset neighborhood and graduated from Sacred Heart because they did not want anything to do with SI. Personally, I don't blame them.
