If I recall, Altman backed out of Arkansas after one day on the job and hustled back to Omaha with his tail between his legs.  He even had the nerve to participate in their sacred "WOO PIG, SOOIE!" chant which all Gaels who traveled to Little Rock, Arkansas can remember echoing from the Alltel Arena.

I agree with AlamedaFan, Oregon may be in the same place that they are right now in less than 3 years.  The combination of player transfers, (3 at this point) a new arena, and higher than average expectations could be Altman's downfall.  I think everyone will be interested to see the details of his contract.

This has been eye opening watching this unfold.  With knowledge that Kent was effectively terminated in February, you have to wonder if Oregon even had a plan in what they wanted to do.  IMO, this could have been resolved a year ago by Kilkenny, then AD, by taking care of the firing of Kent instead of leaving it in Belotti's hands....which ended even more miserably with his departure after less than a year at the AD helm.  Right now, UO has no AD and the general counsel has been removed and demoted.(for the lack of written contract with Belotii and his golden parachute)  Even worse, what happens to the Creighton program?  As per ESPN's rumors, they had a talented class coming in and we could expect all to want out of LOI's

All I can say is that I count our blessings with Bennett, Orr and Gallagher.
