Unfortunately, I think the only person that can get anything done about this would be Randy himself (not that he has the time nor should he have to concern himself about this.)

SMC athletics outside of the things under Randy's immediate control is like a bad insurance company trying to deny a claim or say "no" for any reason to save money. Promotion? Who needs it? Band? Mascot? Cheer director? What for? Same food served at every pre-game alumni event? We've got you covered. We lost your ticket renewal? Take what's left and be happy. Music guy plays the exact same music every game? You got it. Just a note to everyone, we are not the Boston Red Sox. Stop with the Sweet Caroline already.

And here's the topper. Just like they wanted to collect $1500 donations for the "possibility" of moving down low, they are now charging $50 non-refundable deposits for Vegas tickets. I know most of you are at the top of the list and will never have to worry about paying a deposit and not getting tournament tickets, but this is an alarming trend. Even if the demand is less than the supply, it is bad practice. That's not how you take care of people and reward the people that support you.

I hope Mark Orr was taking notes at the Santa Clara game as he had a front row seat for how things should be done. We shouldn't have to travel an hour south just to think "I wish we had what Santa Clara has [outside of their idiot coach of course.]" It's an eye-opening embarrassment.
