I only played high school basketball, but fwiw I found practices to be more draining than games.  In the NBA, where you play 80+ games with 4 in a week and travel on the off days, I could see where the accumulation of extended minutes could wear you down...but for a 20 year old playing 2 games a week, I wouldn't think the minutes make much difference (compared to 4 hours of practice and conditioning every day).  

Having said that, I do worry about Delly logging 40 every game (although I feel much more confident when he's in.)
