It's not like I'm at practice every day, but I have some concerns about the Gaels maximizing their potential with the rotation they used against
Gonzaga and Portland.
Why didn't they take the opportunity earlier in the year against some of the creampuffs on the schedule to work Tim Williams into the game for 20+ minutes? I like the idea of Williams getting comfortable and allowing him to work through his mistakes and being coached without looking over his shoulder and running the risk of being benched after one mistake.
And why is it that the guy who saw the least amount of playing time than anyone on the team suddenly becomes the eighth man and gets valuable and important minutes over Mitchell Young and Tim Williams? I'm sure Phil Benson is a really good kid. But come on! You can't tell me he went from being the final guy off the bench to being the "secret weapon" in the two most important games of the season.
