I couldn't find Saint Mary's alum Mark Teahen in the box scores this week. Here's why:
From the Chicago White Sox website:
--3B Mark Teahen had successful surgery Thursday morning, when a pin was inserted in his right middle finger to help with the healing process. The recovery time for such an injury is four to six weeks. Teahen suffered the injury in Sunday's game against Tampa Bay, fielding a grounder by Evan Longoria. In his absence, Jayson Nix and Omar Vizquel will platoon at third base for now. If the Sox have other plans to replace Teahen, whether from within the minors or going outside, no one has said, but manager Ozzie Guillen wants to give Nix and Vizquel the first shot.
