Perhaps you saw the American Rugby News article announcing that Chad Clark won the Down Under scholarship
to attend an elite eight week academy in Australia this summer but they used the wrong player's photo (Jake holguin)
so Ive attached a Chad Clark action shot here from Sheri Batten.
But there's lots more to report on what our Gael Ruggers will be doing this summer:
Tim Maupin and Mike Haley will be joining Chad at the Sydney, Australia academy, investing in their
rugby futures, thanks to their parents. All three will be gone from July 1st to August 26 at the six day a week academy.
On May 23 five of our boys went to Christchurch, NZ: Joe Brophy, Andrew Cook, Rob Carlson, Steve Casinelli, and Andrew Lee.
On June 10th Matt Hensley flys off to play in Brisbane, Australia.
Bubba Jones left for Auckland, NZ on right after school let out.
And Kyle Batten, Kelly Harris and Mike Haley will play for the Pacific Coast in the College All Star event
in Colorado, the trials for our College All American team. Congratulations to them and Chad Clark, who
turned down that opportunity to accept the Down Under scholarship.
Great news for all of these guys as well as for the future of Gael Rugby. Hats off to all of them and to
Coach O'Brien for spearheading their placements thru his extensive international contacts.
